Charlotte Bankes’ hopes of winning a medal have been dashed after she suffered a quarter-final exit from the snowboard cross, continuing her Olympic hoodoo and dealing another blow to Team GB’s medal chances.
Bankes had expressed her desire to “put on a better show”, but unfortunately, she was unable to translate this into a strong performance, ultimately falling short in the quarter-finals.
The quarter-final exit marks a disappointing end to Bankes’ campaign, and Team GB will now have to look elsewhere for medal success.
