British slalom skier Dave Ryding has announced his retirement from Olympic competition after competing in his fifth and final Winter Olympics, where he finished 17th in the slalom event.
Ryding, 39, expressed pride in his performance, bringing an end to his Olympic career on a positive note.
With his final Olympic appearance now behind him, Ryding will ride off into retirement, his legacy as one of Britain’s greatest slalom skiers cemented in the history books.
