Charlotte Bankes’ Olympic medal hopes have been dashed once again after she suffered a quarter-final exit from the snowboard cross event, marking another missed opportunity for Team GB to claim a medal.
Bankes had expressed her desire to “put on a better show”, but unfortunately, she was unable to advance beyond the quarter-final stage, continuing her Olympic hoodoo.
The quarter-final exit means that Team GB will have to look elsewhere for a medal, and Bankes will now have to wait for another opportunity to break her Olympic curse and bring home a medal.
